    hello!

    in my movie we need an actor to have an extremly realistic, but fake, beard and large nose. any tips on how to do this inexpensivly? should I buy this stuff or make it? where do I get materials? etc? it needs to be reused over and over again, look really good even closeup and be cheap! oh yeah, and I need to know by wednesday [img]eek.gif[/img] !!

    Did anyone see the afro he has now? wow! thats all i can say.

    Anyways, im sure if you looked round big party/joke shops you could find something half decent. I cant think of a way you could make one and since you want it cheap thats probably gunna be your best bet.

    Im just guessing here tho, what do i know about fake beards?

    Noses can look real if you use prospectics (sp?) but i wouldnt of thought that was available to low budget.

    Hey
    If you can find a good hobby shop somewhere, they should carry different styles of beards and alike. The quality ones are reusable and made of actual hair. They run about $10-15 Canadian, so like $10 US. At any rate, these are attached by stuff called 'spirit gum', and should stay through almost anything. But if you do this, be sure to get 'spirit gum remover' or else you will leave welts... Good luck.

    hey, thanks! i got one based on your suggestion. a "Rubies -HumanHairGoods", looks just like real, cost $37 including a mustache! thanks for the tips, i didn't know you get such realistic ones so easy.
